« « Snowman| I’m Back, Baby » »Home Soon
My fake class in the NYFA went very well, despite the fact that I was somewhat tired from having spent the previous evening celebrating Liza’s birthday in Lips’ Restaurant playing bingo in the company of her friends, Declan McGrath, visiting from Dublin, and a bewildering series of drag queens.
Yes there are pictures. Go here. Here’s one of our hosts to start you off.

I wasn’t actually hungover. I’m not that stupid, and I didn’t drink much. They liked what I had to say, and now they’ll work me in to their roster. I don’t know exactly how may hours per month this will work out as for me, and the rate isn’t great, but it’s the first concrete job offer I’ve had – Hell, I might even start earning enough to pay rent! Even five or six days a month would be enough for me to scrape by on, particularly once I’ve moved, which I’ll be doing on the 2nd of January. Should be a laugh! I hate moving…
Thanks for all the kind remarks about my snowman. There was enough of a positive response to outweigh the one piece of criticism I got. It’s snowing again at the moment, so I may take up snowmongering again. It’s really interesting to see how the piece evolves – witness my Snow Lincoln.
Just for the record, the poll results:
61.5%: Would that Michelangelo had been more regularly exposed to snow, that the world would not have had to wait so long to see an artefact of such insightful beauty, formed from water, that least manageable of elements. What is Man? What is Snow? Both questions are answered fully, nay sublimely here. 23%: Good 7.6%: Snow Man? No! A Snow Adonis!7.6%: Really extraordinarily accomplished
0%: ExcellentI was kind of upset that no one thought it was excellent, but there you go. Why do I always get exactly thirteen votes? And I know it’s not always the same thirteen people.
I’m flying home tomorrow, so I’ve reflected that in the new poll. (I only have 45 minutes to change planes in Charles De Gaulle, so wish me luck).
I’ll probably post from home, but possibly not. If not, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, and I hope to see a lot of you at the In The Dark Party.
