eBay, oh

A , posted by Anthony around mid-afternoon.

I’m a little bit disappointed with my auction.

The hoodie sold for $81.06 to some guy in the UK. It’s not bad, considering that it was free for me, but I wonder if I had done things differently would it have gone for more…
Bidding was slow, and I was pinning all my hopes on the practice of sniping, but the snipers never materialised. Oh well. If it had sold better I would probably have put up the jacket the guys at R* gave me as well, but as it is I reckon I’ll hold on to it. It’s a nice jacket.

Man, I am really, really broke. Just in time for Christmas. And my Mother’s birthday, which was almost two weeks ago, in fact. Time to start tightening stuff – again!

Don’t worry, Anthony. I will invite you for lunch some time, and besides, as Jews we don’t have Christmas, so we don’t expect a present. Aren’t you lucky! One thing less to worry about.

I know you’re broke, but any chance of a movie review or two at some stage?

Thanks, Julian – you know I do expect a present, right?
    Movie reviews… Maybe. I’ll see.

I advised you well … you heeded me not. Small wonder the final price was so paltry. This is why you failed to tap the bottomless well of technerd money!

Actually, the hoodie has just gone on sale today in R*s online shop, at $75 a pop. I’m glad I didn’t
    a) wait to sell it, and
    b) sell it for more, because now I’d be feeling really guilty.

Well, the pimping was fun, but you know I never really made any money from it.

Hi Anthony, I’m being bullied by your darling sister to check out your website! It looks fab, sorry things are rough financially, but I’m sure something will turn up, just in time! Take care, Kate

i’ll have to amend julian’s statement.. american jews—what with the whole spirit of the american melting pot and all—DO expect xmas presents. (especially jewelry from their husbands). but fear not, anthony—it sounds like a single GTA hoodie will be big enough for both julian and i to wear, together.
