My Worst Case

A , posted by Anthony in the early afternoon.

I’ve written a couple of reviews, for Sideways and Finding Neverland. I only needed to be exhorted once. On top of that, I’d like to instruct (that’s right, instruct) everybody in Ireland reading this to go and see The Halo Effect. I know the reviews haven’t been great, but I believe it looks fantastic, and besides, we want Ivan to get his deferral. Go, Ivan!

It looks like I’ll be spending Thanksgiving with Julian and Lisa, which is very generous of them, particularly as their wedding present hasn’t arrived yet. It’s on its way! I don’t imagine I’ll be doing much else for the next while, as I basically have $300 to last me until the end of January (excluding rent). That’s not a lot of money. I’ll be in Ireland for a couple of weeks, which will help as I can basically live there for free, but things are tight.

So the end of January is my new deadline. This isn’t good. It’s pretty dead around this time of year, so the chances of a last minute rescue are even less than usual (although far from nonexistent). But I’m afraid because it’s my birthday on the 5th of February.

Picture if you will the following: I’m jet-lagged, having left the city I love because I failed to get enough work, in enormous debt, single, unemployed and living with my parents, and I turn 30.

This is my worst case scenario, and it’s looking frighteningly possible. Even likely.

Right now I’m going back to San Andreas, beacuse when I’m Carl, nothing bad can happen to me. And I get to shoot stuff.

You seem to have the luck of the mighty ‘Last Minute Hail Mary’ play. I wouldn’t sweat it.

You should have had the sense to be born in a leap year. Then you’d never have to worry about celebrating your birthyday whilst still living with your parents.
